my first skirt

I finally(successfully) made a skirt from scratch. Now that I have my dress form it makes it a whole lot easier. The size of the dress form is bigger than me so i dont have to cut extra fabric for inseam it's pretty sweet. What do you think of my skirt? (:

hold your head up

When I look in fashion magazines sometimes I feel like I’m making a mistake by choosing not to major in fashion design anymore. I’ve shut out the dreamer aspect of my mind and the realist in me says to major in something that will make my money. How artificial, so much for sticking to my dreams! I don’t feel that I’m going to major in something I completely have no interest in (journalism/media writing) because I’ve always loved writing. But that I’ve starting making clothing on my own, I feel empowered to pursue my dreams. UGH I can’t wait until all the college shit is over it is so stressful.. not to mention if I do change my major back to fashion design I’ll have limited college choices since I’m only allowed to stay local(RI,MA, CT, and If I can present my case well enough NY), I don’t have a lot of money for a private school education(a.k.a, RISD is off the list) so yeah I’m kind of overwhelmed.

HIGH SCHOOL : MILDY ENTERTAINING.

I'm so close to graduating , i can't wait to get the fuck out of high school. Not complaining but I'd be my luck that i would end up and the most diversity-lacking high school most likely in my state. Maybe high school just isn't my "scene", don't get me wrong there are some eccentric people in my school and they're beyond amazing but the ordinary ones...well, no comment.

I've always been a private person so maybe my inability to really open up is hurting my chances of making true friends. I have a few anyway, i think hahaha. we'll find out next year anyway. Ironic i open up into a virtual wasteland but not a live being. Go figure.

On a happier note, I'm going to see the brockton symphony in december and i can't exactly figure out why it's such a big deal to me... Probably, because a special someone is going to be performing.(;I've been fretting about what to wear and my indecisiveness is taking a toll, but i've still got a while.

I really like the floral corsety top with a plain black skirt with some nice (possibly sheer floral?) tights and killlllla shoes which ill post later.

word.

You Da Man!

Ah, you can really melt a girls heart with those prints, Emilio!

Well not these prints... I guess I should be thanking Matthew Williamson, big deal @ Pucci. Correction was a big deal. He left in late September 2008, to focus on his own line which he had been simultaneously working on for quite some time ....hmm, or maybe he was fired for "multitasking" ?

Ahem, some real Pucci creations.

I'm not sure what collections these are from but they are so fantastic!
Spring 2005 RTW is probably my favorite collection so far. Sometimes too much color can be tacky, but Pucci remains so tasteful!

Oh, Emilio.

FOR YOUR MILD ENTERTAINMENT

My confirmation sponsor was awesome. She’s really eccentric and has a liking for the strangest things. But I was really surprised when she gave me this dress as a present. This was definitely the ugliest thing I had ever seen. This carpet like dress wasted space in my closet for months and one day I decided to just try it on.

Haha, I am a mockup of a model!

So I was as a little judgmental of the dress before I tried it on but I love it. So vintage. It’s an awkward length and has a hugeeeeeeeee slit but the print is fabulous! Not sure where exactly i would wear this but it's definately a favorite piece of mine.
